dream.log [10.3.11]
I am keeping a dream log here on my blog, so I can remember the details of my dreams. Sometimes they are kinda crazy, so you’ve been warned.
Last night’s dream was about being in college, but it was a college I have never seen before. The campus was really beautiful, with old buildings and a gorgeous hilly landscape, and I remember walking most places in my dream. I was going from class to class, meeting up with my boyfriend between classes, and my last class that day was drama.
Our drama class took a field trip to New York City, and when we got there the professor (who was my 7th grade English teacher AGAIN) announced that we would audition for singing parts that day. The number of people in our group was really HUGE, and it included a lot of people from high school.
We sat down in a huge auditorium, and a few people auditioned. Some of them were really bad, but Ashley S.’s performance of Adele’s “Someone Like You” was absolutely incredible. Auditions were taking a really long time, and our group was really large, so they decided to split us up into two auditioning groups.
I had not planned to audition, but they forced me to join the second group, which moved upstairs to a rooftop venue. The building we were in was absolutely gorgeous, and I remember passing several designer boutiques on the way up to the rooftop venue.
We arrived on the roof and took seats at large patio tables. There was a gorgeous black grand piano on the roof, and our professor started auditioning the second group. I started panicking a little bit, because I had not prepared a song for my audition, and I couldn’t think of anything to sing. I had some sort of booklet in my hand, and I kept thumbing through the index to find a song that I knew, but I couldn’t find anything.
My professor announced that we were almost out of time for the day and would have to audition everyone else tomorrow. I felt so relieved because I knew this would give me an opportunity to prepare a song for the audition. Then she said, “We’ll take one more after this one. Stacie, you can stay. Everyone else can leave.”
I completely panicked. I looked over at my boyfriend, and he said good luck. Everyone else started to leave the rooftop venue as I was frantically thumbing through the book to find something to sing.
Then my alarm went off, and I woke up. Arrrrgggghhhhhh.

I am keeping a dream log here on my blog, so I can remember the details of my dreams. Sometimes they are kinda crazy, so you’ve been warned.
Last night’s dream was waaaaay weird. I was leaving church headed to the airport to catch a plane for a trip somewhere. I stopped at the gas station to fill up my car, and then I stopped at the McDonald’s in the adjoining parking lot for some breakfast. I went back out to the parking lot, which had turned into a parking garage, and I couldn’t find my car.
I bumped into Fred and George Weasley, who said they would help me look for my car. We couldn’t find it, so they let me come in their clubhouse (wtf?) to make a phone call. I ended up hanging out with Fred and George Weasley in their dirty, smelly clubhouse, which was filled with lots of people and ugly furniture. Fred, George, and all their friends were trying to get me to stay and hang out with them instead of going on my trip, and then I woke up. Weird.

Last night, I had a strange dream about being in high school again. I was on the softball team, and we had a scrimmage planned against the JV team. So, I was getting ready for the game in the locker room. The game was scheduled to be in front of the whole school in the gym. It was not my high school gym but my middle school gym, which was actually a carpeted gym. The field was painted on the carpet in purple and gold colors and angled so that first base was up against one set of bleachers, making right field pretty much non-existent.
Coach Jones was punishing me for being late for the game and didn’t want to let me play, but I practically begged him to put me in the game. He had started someone else in my position, but after 2 outs he decided to let me play. We were on defense, so I positioned myself at shortstop and waited for the pitch. The batter hit a line drive straight to me, and I caught it. But the ball turned into a giant, black snake, and I dropped it on the ground. The head and front portion of the snake looked really fat and pregnant, and the rear/tail portion of the snake was split down the middle, giving it two long tails.
The snake lunged at me, but I was able to distract it with my glove so I could catch it by one of the tails, winning the game. This was, by far, the weirdest combination of a dumb/scary dream ever. It felt like some sort of magical snake test. I think I have been reading too much Harry Potter lately.

dream.log [9.21.11]
I am keeping a dream log here on my blog, so I can remember the details of my dreams. Sometimes they are kinda crazy, so you’ve been warned.
I remember having a few different dreams last night, but I can only recall the details of one of them. I had a dream about getting married at my parents’ house, but I didn’t invite my mother. Actually, I don’t remember any family being there at all. I wore a long vintage lace dress that was beige in color. Our wedding was simple and sweet, and there were just a few friends in attendance.
My mom showed up after the wedding, and I remember thinking that I hope no one told her that we just got married (as if she couldn’t tell from the wedding dress? D’oh!). I could tell that she knew what was going on, but she never said a word about it.
I have no idea what this dream means, but it sort of concerns me. I would never do that to my mom.
